After a 22-year absence from the massage profession, I discovered that there were many changes to the profession that I needed to learn. I began to take as many in-person classes as I could, until in-person learning was no longer a possibility due to the pandemic. I had also found massage videos on YouTube, and that was when I came across Erik Dalton’s work. I was immediately drawn to his method of searching for the source of dysfunction rather than chasing the pain, and since I was employed in a chiropractic clinic, I thought that could help my work, so I purchased the Posture, Pain, and Performance program. When I began incorporating it into my work, I saw and heard the positive dresults it was having with my clients. I wanted to not only learn more but also be able to personally feel the techniques, so I attended my first workshop in OKC in 2021. Learning from Erik himself and feeling the techniques on myself got me hooked, prompting me to buy and dive into each course, as well as set a goal to become an MMT at the 10th annual OKC workshop in 2023. I love what the knowledge from these courses has done for my clients and the way I approach my work and am eager to continue to use these techniques for years to come.
