I’ve always known I wanted to become a massage therapist. After working in an insurance company for several years I waited patiently until the time was right to make a career change. In 2019 I did it! Shortly after I began working in my dream career, my son-in-law Scott (a massage therapist), introduced me to Erik Dalton’s Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques and that was it for me! I immediately began my journey by taking MAT trainings and implementing MAT into my massage practice. Using MAT has helped me discover an intelligent way to help people reduce their pain while bringing a greater sense of wellness to their lives. My work schedule at the massage franchise where I originally worked increased to 35 hours a week and I began booking four months in advance with a waitlist. In January 2023, I am proud to say I opened my own private massage practice and followed Erik’s recommendation and purchased a Comfort Craft model 860 hydraulic massage table. Erik’s “Dirty Dozen” and “42 Pound Head” posters were framed and displayed on my office wall. I love learning and look forward to attending more MAT workshops and becoming a teaching assistant so I can help others learn this amazing body of work that has transformed my practice and my client’s lives.
