  • Master Myoskeletal Therapist Spotlight: Christine Fox, MMT | Saratoga, California

After more than 28 years in massage therapy, Christine Fox has learned that experience and curiosity go hand in hand.

As a certified sports massage therapist and CPR instructor in Saratoga, California, Christine has spent much of her career helping clients who struggle with pain and limited mobility. Her extensive hands on experience has given her a strong foundation in therapeutic bodywork, but she has never stopped looking for ways to expand her skills.

Her introduction to Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques® (MAT) came through the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

What caught her attention was the opportunity to study an approach that brought together knowledge and techniques developed by influential pioneers in manual therapy.

For Christine, MAT offered something particularly valuable: effective techniques that were also easier on the therapist’s body.

“I particularly like MAT because of how easy it is on the therapist’s body, while still providing good results for client,” she explains.

That balance has become an important part of her approach to massage therapy.

Christine incorporates MAT alongside her existing myofascial techniques, allowing her to vary treatment approaches while encouraging clients to participate more actively in their sessions.

She especially appreciates the brain based and nerve focused techniques.

“The brain based and nerve techniques are game changers,” she shares.

For Christine, these methods have brought new possibilities to a career already rich with experience. They have also reinforced the value of continuing education, regardless of how long someone has practiced.

Her experience with MAT workshops has been equally meaningful. She credits the instructors for creating a supportive learning environment that combines knowledge with practical, hands on experience.

Her advice to massage therapists considering advanced education is simple:

“Don’t hesitate.”

Having earned numerous certifications throughout her career, Christine considers her Master Myoskeletal Therapist® (MMT) certification, completed on July 25, 2026, a particularly meaningful achievement.

“Of all the many modalities that I am certified to do, the MMT certification is my greatest accomplishment.”

Congratulations to Christine Fox on earning her MMT certification and joining the Master Myoskeletal Therapist community. Her dedication to lifelong learning and client centered care demonstrates that professional growth has no expiration date.
