My educational journey has been constant because I always strive to be the best version of me.
I served in the Army with the 101st Airborne Division in 1987. In 2003, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement from Concordia University. I was a veteran police officer specializing in SWAT, Defensive Tactics and Firearms training.
After retiring as Chief of Police, my brother who is a massage therapist and personal trainer inspired me to look into a business in massage, so I attended the Houston Community College Massage Therapy Program and graduated in 2007. Immediately, I started my own practice as the owner of Halo Massage Therapy. Many of my clients are athletes, police, fire, EMS and military. During my 13 years as a sports therapist, I have encountered a plethora of body types with all kinds of pain and injury conditions and I always felt I needed to learn better ways to deal with this population.
Through ABMP I found Erik Dalton’s Freedom From Pain Institute and the Advanced Myoskeletal Therapy Certification, which I completed in 2012. My business flourished after implementing the things I learned in that course so I decided to “go for gold” and enroll in Erik’s Master Myoskeletal Therapist certification program and the rest is history. The innovative techniques I have learned with Erik and his awesome instructors and staff have allowed me to offer my clients some of the best care possible. It’s great to have this feeling of accomplishment. I can’t thank the team enough for their support and encouragement. Proud to be an MMT
