I’ve been doing massage for as long as I can remember. My mother’s spinal issues were extreme and everything that could have went wrong with it, did. I never knew her to not be in pain and watched doctors feed her pills until they put a pain pump in. She passed away at a young age and I remember trying to give her some relief, even if it was just for the time I worked on her. So 14 years ago I began my massage career and focused on chronic pain clients. Early on in my career I was introduced to a couple modalities that were taught by Erik Dalton and knew I had to learn more. I used those techniques for 12 years before life brought me to the Freedom From Pain Institute. Once I took the first class that was all it took I bought the whole package and set out on my journey. The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn. I always had the intuition of what to do for a client and it worked, but Erik gave me the Why I was doing it and made everything clear. As soon as I brought these knew modalities to my office, my practice took a 180* turn for the better. There are a few people in Michigan that have taken the classes, but I am the first MMT here and I am proud of that. I do what I love and love what I do. I hope to bring the change to my clients that they are looking for and provide the long term relief that Myoskeletal Alignment has to offer.
