My road of life helping others began 40 years ago as a paramedic/firefighter with the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department here in Cleveland. It also started my career and passion for community health education working with children and adults. Actively involved in sports, I soon became the go to person to assist with injuries, aches, and pains, so I continued my education to include licensure as an athletic trainer and massage therapist. In 2001, I left the fire department, and started my second career in sports medicine with Beacon Orthopedics and provided care for athletes at Madeira High School. I also opened my own massage business, Body Performance LLC, and expanded my massage education with skills learned from Doug Nelson at Precision Neuromuscular Therapy. While researching chronic pain conditions several of my clients were experiencing, I discovered Erik Dalton’s Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy. Erik’s techniques to unlock skeletal fixations utilizing soft tissue techniques really seemed to help my athletes with their stubborn pain and injury issues, so I dove head-first into all the Master Myoskeletal Therapist home study courses. I finally freed my schedule enough to attend the “Pain Relief in Paradise” Costa Rica Retreat where I finally met Erik as well as so many other phenomenal therapists from around the world. Six months later, I attended Erik’s 10th Annual Oklahoma City workshop titled “Leveling the Head and Tail” and there I received my MMT (Master Myoskeletal Therapist) diploma. Many thanks to all the great individuals I have met while exploring the human structure with a goal of ridding the body of pain and improving functional performance. I am very proud and humbled to be certified in both PNMT and MMT and performing services that are so satisfying and rewarding.
