I have worked as a massage therapy professional for 35 years. After graduating from massage school, I opened my first practice in my hometown Medellin, Colombia. In 2012, I moved to the United States and graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. I worked hard to open my own business and help as many people as I could. Around that time, I began searching for solutions to the pain I experienced from a whiplash injury and discovered Erik Dalton’s work. After feeling the benefits of MAT personally, I decided to learn the techniques and integrate them into my practice. Learning MAT has helped me comprehend the different expressions of pain. I’m now able to perform more accurate assessments and execute precise and clear treatment protocols that truly bring relief to my clients who experience chronic pain.
I am grateful to so many people who have supported my journey towards becoming an MMT. I would like to thank my family, especially my sister Luz Estella Carmona López, for all the time spent translating Erik’s work into Spanish and helping me better understand the material. Thank you to everyone in the Dalton gang for helping me with the home-study material and to my workshop partners who befriended me at the in-person workshops. A special thanks goes out to Nathan Fay and my daughter Nebai for their continuous encouragement and help as I studied to become a Master Myoskeletal Therapist.
I look forward to being an active member of the MMT community and continuing my journey of discovery and healing in massage therapy. Thank you, Erik Dalton, for elevating my work and our profession!
