I began my professional journey in 2018 after graduating from the Florida School of Massage as a Licensed Massage Therapist. Since then, I have continued to advance my education and clinical skillset, earning dual certification as both a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Master Myoskeletal Therapist. Together, these disciplines form an integrative, evidence-informed approach designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, and support long-term structural health. I was first introduced to Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques when my business partner and I were looking to complete some live continuing education credits. We came across a local weekend MAT workshop taught by Tammy McCue, and from the moment we stepped in, we were hooked. One of the things that stood out most was the quality of the instruction. MAT live workshops are supported by multiple teaching assistants who circulate throughout the room, offering guidance, answering questions, and providing real-time hands-on support. That level of attention made the learning experience both accessible and profoundly effective.

What I appreciate most about MAT is how they can be adapted to each individual, no two bodies move or respond the same way, and MAT gives me the flexibility to tailor the work to every client’s specific needs, pain patterns, and goals. It fits naturally into any session and elevates the work without feeling forced or complicated. On top of that, MAT is remarkably ergonomic for therapists. The techniques rely on smart biomechanics, gentle leverage, and efficient positioning, making the work easier on our bodies while still delivering profound results for clients. It allows me to work with precision, not force,so I can provide high-quality care without strain or fatigue. MAT gives me a clearer understanding of how the nervous system and musculoskeletal system interact. I can now pinpoint dysfunctional movement patterns more precisely, which means treatment plans are more targeted and effective. MAT sessions are highly hands-on and movement-based. My clients are able to participate in the process, which helps them build awareness of their own patterns and feel more connected to their body’s progress.

Overall, the MAT workshops are incredibly interactive, and the hands-on support you receive from multiple teaching assistants is invaluable. Being able to ask questions, refine your technique, and feel the work done correctly on your own body accelerates your learning in a way that’s hard to replicate online. The MAT workshops and courses are designed for therapists of all experience levels. Whether you’re new or seasoned, the instructors meet you where you are at and help you grow.
