Anne Sanderson is considered by many to be the top massage therapist in Yinnar. We’re delighted that she decided to pursue certification as a Master Myoskeletal Therapist (MMT). Achieving this certification, one of the highest standards for a massage professional, is no small feat. It takes a burning desire to get results for your clients and a great deal of commitment. You can find out more about her below. She can help you resolve pain problems that many other allied health professions struggle with, including back pain, injuries, and headaches. If you’re looking for massage therapy in Yinnar, give Anne a call.
My massage journey here in Yinnar, Australia started some years ago after my MD told me I would be in a wheelchair by age 50 and handed me a script for painkillers. With that news, I decided to take matters in my own hands and try and learn everything I could about the human body. I remember receiving the “Treating Trapped Nerves” course and as I flipped through the book, I saw a shotgun technique for arm pain that I thought looked interesting. The very next day I had a client who presented with arm numbness and pain, which had plagued her for nearly two years. After the massage, I showed her how to perform a couple of Erik’s home-retraining nerve mobilization exercises and when I saw her two weeks later, we were both shocked (and elated) that her chronic arm pain was gone. This was my first clue that what I was studying was something very special.
Through the years I’ve studied many modalities, but discovering Erik’s Myoskeletal work has been the big life-changer for my clients and me. Being able to better explain the mechanism of pain and then apply clinical reasoning skills to get at the source of their condition continues to inspire me.
Learning from Erik, Aubrey, and the fabulous Freedom From Pain Institute teaching assistants has truly been a privilege and honor. The 2019 Costa Rica Retreat was, by far, the most amazing learning experience of my life. Being in that lovely mountain resort with therapists that love what they do and love helping people was an experience I will never forget.
Thank you, Erik Dalton, for your contribution to the massage industry and for keeping us abreast of all the new cutting-edge research.
