I graduated from Platt College in Lawton, Oklahoma as a massage therapist in 2008. I love helping people feel better both physically and emotionally and I also love learning.
I first became aware of Erik Dalton’s work in a 2013 Massage Magazine article and after watching a YouTube video of one of his classes; I immediately knew his methods were something I wanted to add to my practice.
I was able to attend my first workshop in 2016 and was hooked after that first weekend of training. I walked out with an overload of information and was excited to put it to use on Monday morning. Each year I have attended this event and continue to learn new methods that have greatly enhanced my practice. My clients are thrilled with all the new pain management techniques I bring back each year after the fabulous Oklahoma City workshops.
My business has grown exponentially from all I’ve learned from Erik and his exceptional teaching assistants. Many of my clients who had searched for help for their pain weren’t receiving the results they were hoping for from other massage and physical therapists in my area and now I’ve been able to use MAT to help relieve their pain and improve their lives.
With the extra time on my hands due to the pandemic, I’ve been able to finish the last of my MAT online training courses I’d started several years ago. So, it took only 4 1/2 years and the pandemic for me to finish, but here I am!
I have become so inspired by all I have learned from my online and live training and it has all culminated in the level of care I’m now able to provide my clients. Ultimately, my clients have been the ones blessed by these valuable insights and my improved hands-on skills. The next step in my growth as a massage therapist is to work towards becoming a MAT instructor.
Thank you Erik and the Dalton gang for all your valuable help. Proud to be a MMT.
