Hi, I’m John Davis, a Master Teacher from Trinidad, West Indies. My journey in the healing arts began in 1983, when I studied Shiatsu, Reflexology, and Acupressure under Professor Don Jacob, while also training in the martial art Don-Jitsu-Ryu. This sparked my interest in combining martial arts with therapeutic bodywork, leading me to pursue massage therapy.
In 2000, I earned my first massage therapy diploma and continued my education, gaining certifications in both Western and Eastern healing practices. Over time, I developed my own treatment style, blending various disciplines for optimal results.
In 2017, I discovered Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT) and was immediately drawn to its holistic approach. After attending a workshop with Erik Dalton in Oklahoma City, I knew I wanted to become a Master Myoskeletal Therapist. The principles of MAT—assessing patterns in the body rather than just treating pain—resonated deeply with me, and I’ve since integrated it into my practice with fantastic results.
MAT has transformed how I treat my clients, helping them understand their conditions better and providing effective corrective methods for a healthier lifestyle. If you’re thinking about learning Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques, I highly recommend you dive in. The curriculum is easy to follow, incredibly effective, and once you get started, you’ll be hooked! Whether you’re a beginner or already experienced in the healing arts, the journey to becoming a certified Master Myoskeletal Therapist is one you won’t regret.
