Over the past 20+ years, I’ve immersed myself in holistic health, massage, and home healthcare. My journey into the world of massage started in childhood, watching my mom struggle with rib pain due to her hyperkyphotic thoracic spine. She often turned to me for relief between her chiropractic visits, and that’s when I first discovered the power of touch.
Fast forward to 1997: I was a cosmetologist juggling facials, manicures, and pedicures when I stumbled upon reflexology and became fascinated with human anatomy. As I worked with clients, I noticed something incredible—massage wasn’t just a luxury; it truly enhanced their physical and emotional well-being.
In 2002, everything changed when I met David Clinger, a teacher of MAT from Erik Dalton’s Freedom From Pain Institute. His insights into how faulty movement patterns can lead to muscle and joint pain reshaped my perspective on bodywork. This was the spark that ignited my passion for Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques. Suddenly, I was diving deep into the science of movement, becoming a self-proclaimed bodywork nerd who loved analyzing and thinking outside the box.
Completing the 210-hour Master Myoskeletal Therapist (MMT) program fueled my determination to help clients regain functional mobility and live pain-free. Every treatment I offer is infused with the principles of Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques—it’s the foundation of my approach.
I was thrilled to attend the 10th Annual Oklahoma City Workshop, where I earned my MMT certification and had the chance to connect with Erik and his incredible community of teachers and therapists. I’m excited about what the future holds and can’t wait to share the blessings of this journey with others!
