My journey in massage therapy began in 1998. Over the years, as I continued my education, I was always searching for that “magic bullet” to help my clients with pain, problem areas, and posture issues. With each new treatment, I’d find myself asking, “Why is this happening? What can I do to fix it?”
My big breakthrough came when I discovered MAT (Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques) in Massage and Bodywork Magazine. I was reading an article by Erik Dalton when one line stood out to me: “Don’t chase the pain.” It immediately caught my attention.
As I read on, I was amazed by Erik’s clear, concise approach to resolving body issues. It made so much sense, and I knew I had to learn more. I began researching Erik online and quickly became eager to deepen my knowledge.
That led me to enroll in a MAT workshop with Tammy McCue in Buffalo, NY. As I began to integrate MAT into my practice I found the techniques were incredibly effective and thorough, and I found myself constantly learning and growing. Life, after all, is a continuous learning experience, and I’m always striving to be better.
I’ve loved taking MAT workshops and diving into the self-paced courses. The video demonstrations are clear and straightforward, which makes it easy to apply the techniques in my practice. My clients have been seeing amazing results and are so grateful for the relief they’ve experienced.
I’m deeply thankful to Erik Dalton, Kim Miller, and their team, as well as to all the dedicated bodywork practitioners out there. Thank you, Erik Dalton, for the incredible gift of knowledge and transformation! I’m thrilled to have a thriving practice in DuBois, PA, and I truly feel blessed to have this kind of education—it’s a gift beyond words.
