My passion for massage therapy began at a young age, trading bodywork with friends and discovering the deep satisfaction of helping others feel better. Receiving massage also offered me significant personal relief. In 2007, I fully embraced this passion after being diagnosed with thoracic spine scoliosis and experiencing severe muscle spasms. At my physician’s recommendation, I sought out an exceptional educator and therapist at my massage school. Not only did she help relieve my pain, but her teachings also inspired me to expand my technique repertoire and deepen my commitment to the healing arts.
After working in the massage industry for eight years without pursuing further education, I relocated from Kansas to Texas and obtained my license. When it came time for renewal, I completed a 12-hour CE course that fulfilled the requirements—but left me feeling I hadn’t truly learned the modality.
