I’ve been a Licensed Massage Therapist since March 2018, with a focus on deep tissue, sports, and orthopedic massage. Becoming a massage therapist had been on my radar since graduating high school, but it wasn’t until years later, driven by the need for a career and life change and a strong desire to help others, that I finally pursued it.
My introduction to MAT came during massage school through my “Treatments” course instructor, and I’ve been inspired ever since. MAT was exactly the kind of approach I was looking for, one that could support patients in real, lasting ways and improve their quality of life. As an LMT, CPT, CES, and PES, I’m drawn to the way MAT integrates knowledge from multiple disciplines to assess and realign the body. The body is a giant puzzle, and MAT is the guide to putting it back together.
Erik Dalton’s workshops and courses gave me the answers I was searching for. His ability to clearly explain complex ideas helped me articulate and implement treatment strategies I had only been brainstorming before. His teaching empowered me with tools and understanding that now allow me to deliver more effective care and confidently communicate that care to my clients.
