Turning Passion into Precision: The Skills and Experience Behind My Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy Practice “Driven by Results: How My Journey Led Me to Master Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy”
I’ve been helping people heal and recover for over 20 years. My journey started in 2003 when I graduated from Carlson College of Massage Therapy in Iowa, and it quickly became clear that therapeutic touch was my passion. Early on, I worked with athletes at the University of Iowa, which inspired me to dive deeper into advanced techniques for chronic pain and injuries.
After training in Orthopedic Massage with James Waslaski, I became a Certified Orthopedic Massage Therapist and later a teaching assistant. His mentorship opened my eyes to the power of bodywork that goes beyond the surface, addressing the root causes of dysfunction. It was through James that I first heard of Erik Dalton and the groundbreaking work he was doing with Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT). In 2011, I attended my first hands-on workshop with Erik in Chicago, and it was a game-changer. Erik’s teaching style, rich with expertise and quirky sense of humor has had a lasting impact on my approach to bodywork. His dedication to the science of healing has fueled my own passion for helping clients regain control of their health and well-being. Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT) completely changed my approach to bodywork. I’ve seen firsthand how MAT provides lasting relief for both acute and chronic issues, often in just a few sessions.
Along the way, I’ve earned certifications in Lymphatic Therapy and became a Physical Therapy Assistant in 2017. But my biggest achievement remains becoming a certified Master Myoskeletal Therapist—one of only two in Iowa. What sets me apart is my results-driven approach: I focus on addressing the root causes of pain and dysfunction, helping clients not just feel better but move better. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or just want to improve mobility, I’m here to help you reach your goals.
