Tricia Gilbert

If you’re looking for massage therapy in McKinney, Tricia Gilbert is the massage therapist to see. We’re delighted that she decided to pursue certification as a Master Myoskeletal Therapist (MMT). Achieving this certification, one of the highest standards for a massage professional, is not easy. It takes a burning desire to get results for your clients and a great deal of commitment. Below is her story in her own words. This talented therapist can help you with all kinds of musculoskeletal conditions, including headaches, rotator cuff problems, sports injuries, and more. My massage career began in Oklahoma back in 2002. In 2009, I moved to Pittsburgh, PA where I ran a successful award-winning practice specializing in chronic pain and acute injuries. While there, I was invited to work the summer months at the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp, where I had the opportunity to work with both players and coaches. In 2016, I sold the Pittsburgh practice and opened a private practice in McKinney, TX where I still work today. I first discovered Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques while flipping through a massage magazine one day. Since most of my clientele are injured or living with chronic pain, I had been looking for classes that could help me become a better therapist while adding advanced skills to better serve my clients. What I like most about incorporating Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques is that they are quick, effective, and my clients love the work. They get relief from their aches and pains while receiving techniques that are gentle on their body. Myoskeletal Techniques are so effective that I’m able to use much less effort on my part. This has allowed me to see more clients per week without the risk of injuring my own body. My practice is busier than ever since incorporating MAT. I’m now booked out with a wait list due to client and medical referrals. The 210-hour Master Myoskeletal Therapist© program requires time and dedication to complete, but if you are truly interested in becoming a better and more successful therapist, I suggest scheduling time every week to work towards your MMT goal. The reward of seeing a client smile and move more freely following a session is truly worth the time and effort you put in.
