10 Steps to Mastery
There are ten steps to becoming a Master Myoskeletal Therapist®. Certification requires 210 hours of MAT training. Hours are earned through a combination of MAT home-study courses and workshops.
Every course and workshop takes you one step closer to certification. There are no prerequisites for any individual course and courses can be taken in any order. However, for best results, we suggest you take the courses in the order listed below. All are eligible for CE credits for continuing education.
Steps 1-9: Complete these Nine MAT Courses (160 CE hours total)
Foundational MAT Courses (80 hours total)
1. Posture, Pain Performance MAT Course (20 CE Hours)
2. Upper Body MAT Course (20 CE + 2 Ethics CE Hours)
3. Lower Body MAT Course (32 CE Hours)
4. Professional Ethics Course (6 CE Hours)
Advanced MAT Courses (80 CE hours total)
5. Shoulder, Arm & Hand MAT Course (16 CE Hours)
6. Technique Tour MAT Course (16 CE Hours)
7. Treating Trapped Nerves MAT Course (16 CE Hours)
8. Motion is Lotion MAT Course (16 CE Hours)
9. Art of MAT Course (16 CE Hours)

Step 10: Attend MAT Workshops (50 CE hours total)
