Transforming My Practice: The Impact of Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques
I began my journey in bodywork back in 2007, working on doctors I knew from my days as a paramedic. Those initial connections led to referrals, and before I knew it, my career took off. For most of my professional life, I’ve focused on orthopedic and medical-based massage, tackling issues like carpal tunnel symptoms and migraines. Each new client presented an opportunity to deepen my skills and expand my knowledge.
A few years ago, I was introduced to Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT) by Tammy McCue, and I was instantly hooked. The moment I began integrating these techniques into my practice, I saw a transformation—not just in my approach, but in the results my clients experienced. Becoming a Master Myoskeletal Therapist (MMT) has truly enhanced my practice, allowing my clients to reap the numerous benefits of MAT.
The effectiveness of these techniques is remarkable. Erik Dalton’s research and dedication to this field have truly paid off. I frequently receive feedback from my clients—and their doctors—about the progress they’re making, and it’s incredibly rewarding to witness.
As a result of incorporating MAT, my regular sessions have shifted from primarily orthopedic work to mostly MAT-focused treatments. The reason is simple: I can see progress much faster, and my clients feel the difference.
I wholeheartedly recommend these courses and the MMT certification program to anyone in the healing arts. Whether you start with a workshop or dive into online learning, don’t hesitate to get started. Looking back, I wish I had begun my journey with MAT much sooner. The results speak for themselves, and I’m excited to continue sharing this knowledge with my clients.
