Educational Purpose and Professional Responsibility

The educational content provided through our website, workshops, online courses, and home study programs is intended for licensed massage therapists and other qualified health professionals. The material is offered for educational purposes only and is not intended as medical, legal, or professional advice for any specific individual or patient.

While we strive to present accurate, current, and evidence-informed information, we make no guarantees regarding outcomes. Techniques and concepts taught in our programs must be applied within the scope of the participant’s professional license, training, and experience. Participants are solely responsible for determining the appropriateness of applying any technique in their professional practice.

Dalton Myoskeletal LLC is not responsible for injuries, damages, claims, or losses resulting from the application or misuse of information presented in our courses, workshops, or website materials. Each participant assumes responsibility for their professional decisions and actions.

Products and Services

“Product” refers to any item or service sold through erikdalton.com, including live workshops, online courses, home study programs (USB or DVD), textbooks, and other educational materials.

Full payment is required before access to online courses or shipment of physical products unless otherwise stated.

Online Course Access

Access to eLearning and online courses is provided for the lifetime of Dalton Myoskeletal LLC’s operation of the course platform. Access is granted to the individual purchaser only. Login credentials may not be shared, and courses may not be distributed, copied, or used for group instruction without written permission.

Continuing Education (CE) Information

Dalton Myoskeletal LLC provides continuing education programs for massage therapists and related professionals. It is the student’s responsibility to verify acceptance of any course or workshop with their individual state licensing board or regulatory agency prior to enrollment.

We cannot guarantee approval of continuing education credit by every state board or regulatory authority.

Continuing education credit is awarded only after successful completion of all required course components, including attendance verification and any required assessments.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your registration for a Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT)® workshop up to 30 days before the workshop start date and receive a refund minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations made within 30 days of the workshop start date are non-refundable.

Workshop fees and schedules are subject to change.

For the Costa Rica workshop, a 50% deposit is required at registration, of which $575 is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due by the deadline listed on the workshop page. Fees vary depending on accommodation selection.

Exceptions to cancellation policies may be requested in cases of serious illness or genuine emergency. Requests must include a written explanation and, when appropriate, documentation. Please allow up to two weeks for review. Approved exceptions may still be subject to an administrative fee.

Dalton Myoskeletal LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule workshops due to circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, registered participants will be offered a transfer or refund of registration fees.

Workshop Participation

All workshop participants are required to sign a comprehensive Waiver and Agreement to Participate prior to attendance. This agreement includes acknowledgment of inherent risks, assumption of responsibility, professional conduct standards, media release terms, and related provisions. Participation in workshops is contingent upon agreement to these terms.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to safely participate in hands-on educational activities.

Home Study and eLearning Returns

Physical products such as USB courses, DVDs, textbooks, and posters may be returned within six months of purchase. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Once materials are received, a refund will be issued for the full purchase price, less shipping costs. 

Refunds for eLearning courses are available within six months of purchase. Course access ceases once the refund is issued. 

Refunds are issued to the original form of payment whenever possible. If not possible, a check will be issued. 

ADA Accommodation Policy

Dalton Myoskeletal LLC is committed to providing equal access to educational programs in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities to ensure equal opportunity to participate.

Accommodations may include academic adjustments, modified testing conditions, or accessible materials. We do not provide accommodations that would fundamentally alter essential program requirements or licensing standards.

Requests for accommodations should be made in advance of the course or workshop whenever possible.

Grievance Policy

Dalton Myoskeletal LLC is committed to maintaining a respectful and professional learning environment. A grievance is a formal complaint involving alleged unfair treatment, discrimination, unprofessional conduct, or significant procedural error by a contracted educator or employee.

Students are encouraged to first attempt informal resolution by contacting the individual(s) involved within thirty business days of becoming aware of the issue. If the matter is not resolved, a written grievance may be submitted within ten business days following the informal attempt. The grievance must clearly describe the issue and the requested resolution. A written decision will be issued within thirty business days. Retaliation against any student who submits a grievance in good faith is prohibited.

Dalton Myoskeletal LLC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, age, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, veteran status, disability, marital status, nationality, ethnicity, or any other category protected by applicable law in the administration of its programs, hiring practices, or services. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Allegations of discrimination will be reviewed and addressed appropriately.

Conflict of Interest

Dalton Myoskeletal LLC owns the educational materials provided through this website. If we promote or recommend third-party products or services and receive financial benefit, we will clearly disclose that relationship.
