Technique Spotlight
In this Technique Tuesday video, Erik Dalton demonstrates a simple but powerful upper-extremity sequence designed to restore freedom through the shoulder, arm, and elbow. Using triceps pulls, biceps/triceps twists, gentle decompression, and sling-and-resist movements, Erik shows how to reduce protective guarding while encouraging better motion and neuromuscular responsiveness. It’s a practical routine therapists can immediately apply when clients present with arm tension, shoulder restriction, or movement hesitation.

Techniques that Pin, Twist, Sling, and Resist
When clients fear movement, the right hands-on techniques can help them rediscover pain-free movement and confidence. In this blog post, Erik Dalton shares five bodywork methods that pin, twist, sling, and resist tissue to lubricate joints, roll fascial sacs, reduce protective guarding, and invite greater movement possibilities. These practical techniques give therapists fresh ways to support their clients with innovative and effective methods.
