YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Jane Detert has been a physical therapist for 25 years and has been teaching massage for the past eight. This dedicated practitioner takes pride in helping clients, whether it is chronic back pain or helping an athlete perform at their optimal level. After studying MAT, getting her Master Myoskeletal Therapist (MMT) certification, and successfully implementing, MAT in her personal practice, she is eager to share her knowledge and teach advanced techniques to other practitioners, whatever their background.

Please bring a massage table and sheets. Registration is at 7:30am Saturday morning.  Class is 8am-5pm Saturday and Sunday.

COVID-19 WORKSHOP PROTOCOLS

We at the Freedom From Pain Institute care for the health and safety of our staff, teachers, assistants and students. Where there are live workshops scheduled we have plans in place to abide by the CDC guidelines. 

If you have questions or concerns, please contact our Director of Education, Kim Miller. 

Here are plans we currently have in place for our workshops: 

  1. Temperature checks will be given upon entry into the workshop room.
  2. We will have tables at least 6ft apart from each other.
  3. We will stay with the same partners throughout the duration of the workshop.
  4. Hand sanitizer and wipes will be provided. Feel free to bring your own as well.
  5. Masks will be provided and worn throughout the class.
  6. During breaks be mindful of the people around you.
  7. When switching be sure to wipe down the table.

PLEASE STAY AT HOME IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

    • A fever 24-hrs prior to the event or a temperature of over 100 degrees.
    • Flu symptoms, shortness of breath, or sore throat prior to the event.
    • If you have been in contact with someone who has COVID in the past 14 days prior to the event.

Wausau is a city straddling the Wisconsin River in central Wisconsin. The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum displays nature-inspired paintings and sculptures. West, the Yawkey House Museum preserves a grand 1901 home built in the neoclassical style. Opposite, the Woodson History Center has a library and exhibit area. Southwest, Rib Mountain State Park includes trails, an observation tower and the Granite Peak Ski Area

SEMINAR CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event you need to cancel, we will give you a transfer credit for the amount paid. This credit can be applied to any future Myoskeletal workshop with the same educator for up to one year following the original workshop date.
