Ida Rolf and Coccyx Pain – “The Seat of the Soul”

Fig. 1 Ida Rolf called the coccyx the “seat of the soul” and I’ve come to appreciate the importance of this oft-overlooked structure. When clients (especially women) come in complaining of long-term migraine headaches, severe menstrual cramping, or pelvic pain during sitting, I always evaluate for coccyx misalignment.
